There is only one book written by the sole surviving American involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion, Decision for Disaster; Betrayal at the Bay of Pigs, and, now, only one article. Get a feel for what really happened during that tragic watershed in American history by reading Cuban Nightmare, reprinted courtesy of Military History Magazine. Begin to understand what President John F. Kennedy, unduly influenced by his misguided, biased, self-serving and inept, Secretary of State Dean Rusk cost America to this day. Cuban Nightmare will wet your appetite for the rest of the story. Visit Page

To celebrate the reprinting on our website of Grayston L. Lynch's article Cuban Nightmare in Military History Magazine, our Book Contest will offer as its prize autographed copies of Lynch's book Decision for Disaster Betrayal at the Bay of Pigs and the November 2007 issue of Military History Magazine containing Cuban Nightmare, which is no longer available at bookstores for purchase. Both the book and the magazine will be exciting additions to any history buff's collection of important historical literature, as Lynch is the only surviving American to have been involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion. It is not necessary to have read Decision for Disaster to enter the contest, so we invite you to enter and claim your prize. Good luck to all. Visit Page

A while back, we were introduced to a young Irish girl named Karris Doyle. Karris lives with her Mum, two horses, two ponies and an assortment of furry and winged friends on a farm in County Waterford, Ireland. Karris is an avid horsewoman, but at the tender age of 12, she is also an imaginative and creative writer. We have invite Karris to be a guest author on our website. We have published, with her permission, her story A Dog's Prayer to Father Christmas in our Blog. We invite you to visit our Blog and read this heartwarming Christmas present from the Emerald Isle. We are again offering our visitors a great opportunity to add a very important book, Decision for Disaster; Betrayal at the Bay of Pigs, to their library, autographed by its author, Grayston L. Lynch, a true American hero. Many books have been written on this subject, but only one by a participant who was in communication with the action in Washington and on the beach at Playa Girón, and fought the good fight along with the gallant members of the 2506 Assault Brigade despite impossible odds. Check out our Contest page and our Archives Page to see our very happy previous contest winners, then give our contest a try...good luck. Visit Page
